Ingredients
- Pasta
- Cooked shrimp (defrosted)
- Cabbage
- Butter
- Garlic
- Lemon
- Parmesan
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
- Slice cabbage into thin ribbons
- Sauté in butter over medium-high heat until edges are golden and slightly charred (5-7 min) — don’t stir too much, let it get some color
- Add minced garlic for the last minute
- Toss with cooked pasta, more butter, lemon juice, pasta water to loosen
- Add shrimp just to warm through
- Finish with parmesan, black pepper, maybe red pepper flakes if you like heat
Notes
The charred cabbage adds a nice texture contrast and a bit of sweetness that balances the lemon. It’s almost like a deconstructed shrimp and cabbage stir-fry in pasta form.
Optional additions if you have them: toasted breadcrumbs on top, fresh parsley, a little white wine in the sauce.
